AMTRAK STUDY

The Kansas Department of Transportation received a $200,000 appropriation
to study a passenger rail corridor between Kansas City - Wichita - Oklahoma City - Fort Worth
during the 2008 legislative session. Amtrak began studying this route in December of 2008.
Work on the study is expected to complete during the calendar year 2009. The following link,
provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation, shows the involvement of the Texas, Oklahoma
and Kansas departments of transportation in developing study scope for Amtrak.
